The Common Room...for us commoners

Moving right along in our tour of the place, after you walk through the hallway with the kitchen on the right, you will hit the carpet. This will let you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have hit the living/family room. Please wipe your feet.

I just hung these curtains this weekend. I whipped out my drill (accompanied by many a bit) and hung the rod with the anchors and EVERYTHING. I kind of like that the curtains are on the hooks but the sheers are on the curtain rod, but some might think it looks weird. Thoughts?
